Senior Systems Engineer (Rust) - Blockchain Company

About the Role
Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Senior RUST Systems Engineer to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing critical components of our Layer 2 solution. Your expertise in Rust and deep understanding of blockchain architecture will be key to ensuring the scalability and reliability of our system.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Development: Solve state access challenges with innovative database and storage design, ensuring efficient and scalable data management.
• PEVM Integration: Work closely with the team to integrate state management solutions with our parallel EVM engine, PEVM.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize system performance, focusing on low-latency and high-throughput requirements.
• Collaboration: The project is FOSS and we have a high standard for code quality, external collaboration and processes.
• Fast Pace Environment: Ship. Ship. Ship.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in systems programming, strongly emphasising Rust.
• Database Design: Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable database systems.
• Systems Engineering: Multi-processing, low-level performance & rigorous benchmarking.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically about complex system designs.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Understanding of Ethereum or other blockchain platforms. Familiarity with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).
• Experience with RETH or similar Ethereum client technologies.
• Knowledge of cryptography and security principles in blockchain systems.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and consensus algorithms.
