Senior Full Stack Engineer (Blockchain)

This client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for staff across a number of disciplines with this top tier client.


Responsibilities:
You will join a world class technical team, with State of the Art expertise in developing and delivering advanced decentralised applications (dapps). You will join multinational agile teams working on Enterprise client projects, where you will be responsible for the delivery of front-end services, back-end services and/or blockchain smart contracts.

Most team members have one area “deep” expertise (most often back-end development in Node.js/Typescript) as well as some generalist knowledge, and a willingness to learn more, in other areas (smart contract / blockchain development, front-end). The project team size and scope and your own responsibilities will vary from project to project. For example, you may play the role of a tech lead during a 3-month, 4 people project, or you may contribute to the delivery of a service within a much larger 30-50 people project during 12 months. As you gain more experience, you will be expect to contribute more in defining the technology vision of a project, enforcing best practice and training/coaching your team. You will also take part in the implementation of reusable product components and libraries that will be deployed by other teams around the world.


Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on Enterprise-grade projects
• Mastery of one of the following disciplines:
  • Back-end development: Typescript/Node.js (preference for Nest.js framework)
  • Front-end development: React.js
  • Blockchain/smart contract development: Solidity, Web3.js or Ethers.js library
• Experience with: PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Experience and/or willingness to learn about the other disciplines listed above
• Experience working on agile projects in an enterprise setting
• Experience working in CI/CD setup
• Experience with micro-services architectures

Potential skills:

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related subject
• Understanding of blockchain technology
• General interest in DevOps topics/experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience in deploying blockchain infrastructure

Other skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Teamwork, flexibility, initiative, communication and organisation
• Willingness to constantly learn and improve, challenging yourself to stay at the top of your game
