Quantitative Research Analyst (Blockchain)

This client is one of the largest blockchain development companies in the world building out household name applications across finance, DeFi, NFT’s and general Blockchain SaaS solutions. Most of their employees operate fully remotely and we are looking for staff across a number of disciplines with this top tier client.


Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with leadership to develop a deep understanding of the business, from its data and metrics, to its operational challenges and opportunities
• Work closely with external developers and internal teams to build research reports
• Support business performance deep dives to identify critical trends and size opportunities for efficiency and/or improvements
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify and interpret business trends and to inform management
• Able to design, implement and support quantitative models

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in Applied Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Econometrics, Statistics or Finance preferred with demonstrated academic excellence
• 3 years working in a data driven research environment in proprietary trading teams or Research house
• Prior experience in the Cryptocurrency space, or relatable financial products is a plus
• Solid analytical, mathematical and research skills
• Experience in business analytics, big data analysis and data visualisation as well as experience with C++, Python and SQL
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to navigate through ambiguity to clearly define and get alignment on the problem to be solved
• Entrepreneurial DNA – self-motivated and hard working
• Must be familiar with security standards and procedures necessary when dealing with sensitive personal financial information and regulated environments
• Leader and goal achiever
