We are looking for a cryptography researcher experienced in cryptographic primitives and protocol development to guide and contribute to the research effort at the company. You will be collaborating with other amazing researchers and engineers on the team to design and implement a new frontier of digital identity and take significant ownership and responsibility in your work.

Requirements

In this role, you will:

Design, prototype, and implement cryptographic protocols that contribute to the company's next-generation identity network

Collaborate with team members to create innovative technologies for decentralized infrastructure and networks that are secure and privacy-preserving

Identify areas of interest for further research and development in pushing the boundaries of the future decentralized identity

Actively participate in relevant conferences and communities to stay abreast of the evolution of the cryptography technology ecosystem to guide research toward a more impactful and practical work

We are looking for someone who has:5+ years of software development experience in academia or industry

Expertise in secure multi-party computation (MPC) techniques

Experience in advanced cryptography (non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs, ECDSA, threshold signature)

Experience shipping cryptographic protocols or primitives to production

Proficiency in at least one of the C-family programming languages (e.g., Rust, Go, C++), Python, or similar

Passion for blockchain technology (such as smart contracts, L1/L2 chains, etc.)A desire to teach and mentor team members in your area of expertise

Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar with an emphasis on developing and implementing cryptographic protocols, or equivalent practical experience

Bonus:

Familiarity with distributed system architecture

Published research paper in reputable cryptography journals and conferences

The company is remote-friendly, though we would prefer this role specifically to be in a timezone where we can have more hours overlap with the North American team members due to the need for frequent communication and collaboration. #LI-Remote
