Senior 3D Character Artist - Metaverse Project

As a Senior 3D Character Artist, your role will be to work with Senior Leaders in the Creative department to create high-quality original artwork that displays innovative solutions when answering briefs. You will be required to take creative direction and estimate, schedule, and deliver relevant detailed artwork.
 
Responsibilities:

• Create high-quality characters based on the art direction, technical constraints & production deadlines.
• Ensure all 3D characters are correctly implemented in Unity and devices.
• Work closely with the Art Team, Game Designer, and Programmer to maintain the consistency of the overall 3D art style.
• Provide creative input, direction, and mentoring / support to art leads and artists
• Work with studio executives and department leads for continual process improvement

Requirements: 

• Academic background in arts, design, or equivalent.
• Great understanding of human anatomy and proportion.
• Great understanding of different artistic styles and cultures.
• Great knowledge of game development processes and pipelines.
• 3+ years of game industry experience and working on published games is a strong advantage.
• Excellent skills in Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer, and Unity.
• Excellent skills in AAA character creation for mobile games
• Excellent skills in PBR shader creation for AAA mobile games.
• Excellent skills in modeling, unwrapping UV, and texturing for both realistic and cartoonish styles.
• Excellent skills to adapt to different stylistic guidelines.
• Excellent skills to optimize assets for real-time gaming.
